Wedding bells for Ros Carr (telephonist) now Mrs Petting and Susan Coleman (typist) now Mrs Carolan to whom we extend our best wishes for the future. Congratulations to Cathy Ellis (combined department) on her engagement and to Malcolm Blake (King's Lynn Inspector) and his wife upon presenting him with a daughter (Julie Elizabeth).
In June we said farewell to David Mace who left us for London office as Accident Superintendent Designate. David was in Norwich Branch for 14 years and we were very sorry to see him go. We wish he and his family every happiness in their new surroundings.
We congratulate John Allcock upon his promotion to accident dept. No. 1 and welcome Paul Casson from Head Office in his place as No. z.
Our Chief Clerk, Mr J. W. Robinson, completed 30 years service with the Company, an attractive wrist watch being presented to him by the B.M. on behalf of the Chairman.
Miss Carole Gorbould of King's Lynn office has left us and emigrated to New Zealand. We wish her `Bon Voyage'.
We were once again represented in the local Institute seven-a-side soccer tournament but in spite of a very energetic display and much vocal support failed to reach the finals.
