At a presentation lunch in the Executive dining room, Mr W. J. Simpson was presented with a portrait of himself by the Chairman, Mr P. F. Scott.

Mr Simpson joined the Company in September 1948 as Company Secretary and although he retired as an Executive in August 1966, he remained an active Member of the Board until mid-1970.
